About the project

Real history.
Questionable timing.

Why Wednesday, Thursday and Friday?

Because together they spell WTF. That is the entire historical theory.

WTF History is an independent, ongoing editorial research project and curated archive of real, documented events organized by the weekday on which they occurred. New verified stories are added periodically, without a fixed publication schedule.

ROW — Rest of Week — covers Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. They were not cleared of suspicion; they simply failed to spell anything useful.

A worldwide archive

History happened in every language. We research it that way.

We look beyond English-language retellings, preserving original source languages and noting when translation is part of the evidence trail. Historical context matters more than an easy punchline.

Where the historical record is incomplete or disputed, uncertainty is identified rather than presented as settled fact.

The facts are verified. The ratings are not peer reviewed.
